Porsche Owen will be facilitating a Kiln Workshop for financial GCPA members at our Benowa Studio.
This workshop takes you through a step by step process for booking and firing which is a prerequisite for key holders that wish to hire the members kilns.
You will learn how to load and fire an electric kiln, as well as the basic hands-on maintenance and cleaning of kiln furniture.
Morning tea provided.
Porsche will contact attendees the week before with information for the workshop.
Through teaching, exhibitions and special events, we inspire and elevate pottery as a traditional art and craft form in the wider community.
The GCPA acknowledges the Yugambeh people as the first nations people of the Bunjalung land on which our studios are located. We recognise their culture, history and connection to the land, sea, and sky. These peoples have been using clay in various ways since the Dreamtime and we pay our respect and gratitude to their elders past, present and emerging.
