10 Week Benowa Course

Members: $450 / Non-Members: $470
Jo from Amare Ceramics (www.instagram.com/amare_ceramics) teaches hand building and wheel throwing at Gold Coast Potters Mudgeeraba and Benowa Campuses. Jo began teaching after a year internship at Gold Coast’s Firebird Studios in Burleigh Heads. Alongside her teaching, Jo has also done a 6 month internship with Mt Tamborine ceramic artist Larissa Warren, has completed the Diploma of Ceramics at Lismore TAFE, and she is currently studying her Bachelor of Visual Art at Queensland College of Art. Jo loves creating a welcoming and fun environment where students can learn, experiment and develop their own style.

At the start of each term beginners will cover the core hand building and wheel throwing techniques with projects. Intermediate and advanced students will be introduced to a new technique each week with the option of following group challenges or being mentored through individual projects. Option for casual classes is also possible but subject to availability and not recommended for beginners.
